Chicken Feeding Methionine 99% Feed Amino Acid Enhance Animal Growth
Feed Amino Acid Methionine participates in methyl transfer in the body, synthesis of adrenaline, choline, and creatine, and metabolism of liver fat and phospholipids all require methionine. When lacking of Methionine, it leads to stunted development, weight loss, impaired liver and kidney function, muscle atrophy, and hair degeneration.
Due to the easy absorption of methionine by chickens and its conversion into chicken protein, adding methionine to chicken feed can reduce feed consumption and increase chicken meat.
Adding 0.25-0.28 methionine and 16% soybean cake to the basic diet of broiler chickens has a similar feeding effect as the control group with 10% fish meal. However, for each chick raised, it saves 0.20 yuan in feed costs compared to the control group, reduces feed costs by 20%, and improves economic benefits by about 30%. Experiments have shown that in areas lacking fish meal, adding methionine and supplementing soybean cakes to fully utilize plant-based protein feed can also bring economic benefits.
