Why cast aluminum?
As you can see, cast aluminum is used in many different objects that most of us use every day. Why is it so popular and why are so many people using it? There are actually many reasons for popularity.
As mentioned earlier, it is very durable. It may not be as strong as cast iron, but it is very compact and of course the metal you can rely on when you need it most. This is one of the reasons why people choose this alloy, but they also like the cost. Compared with other metals, it is very cost-effective. Die casting is used to produce zinc and aluminum parts by injecting molten material (under high pressure) into a reusable steel mold (also called a die).
