Gypsum hollow slats are a kind of gypsum board. They are hollow slats made of building gypsum as the base material, mixed with inorganic lightweight aggregates and inorganic fiber reinforced materials. Mainly used for non-load-bearing interior walls of buildings, which are characterized by no need for keels.

The shape of the gypsum hollow slab is similar to that of the concrete hollow slab, and the size is generally (2400~3000) mm × 600 mm × (60~120) mm, with 7 holes or 9 holes. The main varieties can include gypsum perlite hollow slats, gypsum fly ash silicate hollow slats and gypsum hollow slats.

Gypsum hollow slats are made of building gypsum as the main material, mixed with a suitable amount of cement or fly ash, and a small amount of reinforcing fibers (such as glass fiber, paper reinforcement, etc.), or a suitable amount of expanded perlite and other admixtures. Lightweight board made by slurry mixing, pouring molding, core pulling, drying and other processes.

Compared with traditional solid clay bricks or hollow clay bricks, using gypsum hollow slats as internal partition walls has the same advantages as gypsum blocks, and its weight per unit area is lighter and construction efficiency is higher. As a result, the weight of the building is reduced, and the bearing capacity of the foundation is reduced, which can effectively reduce the construction cost; the length of the slats is determined by the height of the building, so the construction efficiency is higher. The gypsum hollow slats have the properties of light weight, high strength, heat insulation, sound insulation, waterproof, etc., can be sawed, planed, drilled, and easy to construct. Compared with paper-faced gypsum board, the amount of gypsum is less, no paper and adhesive, no keel, and simple process equipment, so the cost is lower than that of paper-faced gypsum board. Gypsum hollow slats are mainly used for internal partition walls in industrial and civil buildings. The walls can be used for various finishes such as spraying, paint, tile and wallpaper.

Transport and storage:

Gypsum hollow slat products should be shipped in bundles, and must be lifted and handled gently during transportation. Loose boards should be handled sideways, and flat lifting is prohibited. The transportation must be single-layer, horizontal and vertical, and tightly arranged, and should not be slanted or horizontally stacked, and should be tied firmly and wedge to avoid shaking during transportation. The stacking site should be level and dry, and the plates must be covered to prevent rain and exposure to the sun. Single layer vertical stacking.

Transportation at the construction site generally adopts the cooperation of two persons on a manual single block. When transporting, a special hardwood stick (diameter 50mm×800mm) can be inserted into the third hole from the top, and the two persons can carry it vertically. When stacking on site, do not remove the waistband of the tie hole, but should be placed in a bundle on the skid to prevent deformation.
