It extends the industry-leading innovation and versatility of the Cisco Nexus 6000 series data center switches and runs the same industry-leading Cisco NX-OS Software operating system. The Cisco Nexus 6004EF is versatile. Choose either front-to-back or back to-front airflow options to suit traditional data center implementations or large-scale cloud deployments. An extensible architecture also makes the Cisco Nexus 6004EF a low-cost entry point for small-scale deployments.
The Cisco Nexus 6004EF and Gigabit Ethernet switch with the industry's highest port density in a compact, energy-efficient form factor. It offers eight line-card expansion module (LEM) slots to support ports. Each LEM supports ports of Gigabit Ethernet in a Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable (QSFP) footprint. This flexibility makes the Cisco Nexus 6004EF the only fully extensible fixed Gigabit Ethernet platform in the industry.
