Bearing Adjustment 9K 10K General Duty , 10K-15K Heavy Duty Axles : Correct adjustment for all bearings is 001 to 010 end play . 1 . Rotate hub assembly slowly while tightening the inner lock nut to 100 lb-ft to seat the bearings 2 . Loosen the inner lock nut to remove pre-load torque . Do not rotate the hub 3 . Finger tighten the inner lock nut and snug 4 . Back inner lock nut out V4 to 3 / turn 5 . Install tang washer and outer lock nut . Bend two tangs over inner lock nut Torque outer lock nut to 100-150 Ft LbS , insuring that the inner lock nut does not turn Bend 2 tangs over flats on outer lock nut to secure
