The principle of air shock absorber is:

1. Automotive air shock absorbers are called buffers, which use a process called damping to control

undesired spring movement. The shock absorber slows down and attenuates the magnitude of vibratory

movement by converting the kinetic energy of suspension movement into heat energy that can be

dissipated by hydraulic oil. To understand its working principle, it is best to look at the internal structure

and function of the shock absorber;

2. The shock absorber is basically an oil pump placed between the frame and the wheels. The upper

support of the shock absorber is connected to the frame (that is, the sprung mass), and the lower

support is connected to the shaft near the wheel (that is, the unsprung mass). In the double-cylinder

design, one of the most common types of shock absorbers is that the upper support is connected to

the piston rod, the piston rod is connected to the piston, and the piston is located in a cylinder filled

with hydraulic oil. The inner cylinder is called the pressure cylinder, and the outer cylinder is called the

oil storage cylinder. The oil storage cylinder stores excess hydraulic oil;

3. When the wheel encounters a bumpy road and causes the spring to be compressed and stretched,

the energy of the spring is transferred to the shock absorber through the upper support, and is transferred

down to the piston via the piston rod. The piston is punched with holes. When the piston moves up and

down in the pressure cylinder, hydraulic oil can leak out through these small holes. Because these holes

are very small, only a small amount of hydraulic oil can pass through under high pressure. This slows down

the movement speed of the piston, thereby slowing down the movement of the spring.
