Fire suppression method
The method of extinguishing is intended to eliminate one or more of the required combustion conditions so that combustion does not continue. The basic conditions for each type of combustion correspond to a method of extinguishing fire. The inhibitory effect of different fire extinguishing agents (fire extinguishing mechanism) can be based on eliminating a required combustion condition.Fire extinguishing methods are:
1. Remove combustible materials/ fuels
Clearing is a mechanical operation where flammable and combustible substance is removed from the fire
2. Remove heat
Lowering the fire temperature and make the temperature is in sufficiently cold conditions, the fire reaction is no longer continuing.
3. Remove oxygen
When smothering a fire, the oxygen is removed or it is prevented from getting oxygen continuously in the burning room. The extinguishing agent is to displace the oxygen or lower the oxygen concentration to a level at where combustion cannot continue.
