(1) The fire and explosion prevention of oil storage tanks and storage tank areas should comply with the provisions of GB50183 and GB50074. Low expansion air foam fire extinguishing system shall comply with GB50151.
(2) The storage tank area should be kept clean, and there should be no hay, oil stains, or combustibles inside the fire dike.
(3) The drainage system in the storage tank area should be equipped with water sealed wells; Valves should be installed outside the fire dike for drainage pipes; When the oil tank is drained, a dedicated person should supervise and promptly remove residual oil from the water sealed well.
(4) Non explosion-proof electrical equipment and high-voltage overhead lines should not be installed in the storage tank area.
(5) The storage tank area should be equipped with fire embankments according to regulations, and the fire embankments should be kept intact.
(6) The top of the oil storage tank should be free of oil stains and accumulated water. Insulation measures should be taken for the inlet and outlet pipelines and valves of oil storage tanks.
(7) The transparent holes, inspection gauge hole covers, and gaskets on the top of the oil storage tank should be kept intact, and the hole covers should be tightly covered. The oil measuring port should be equipped with a non sparking metal gasket.
(8) The base of the breathing valve and hydraulic safety valve on the oil storage tank should be equipped with flame arresters. Fire arresters should be checked at least once a season.
(9) The inlet and outlet pipelines of oil storage tanks should be equipped with resilient hose compensators.
(10) Steel oil storage tanks should be equipped with lightning and anti-static grounding devices, and their grounding resistance should not exceed 10 Ω. At least one grounding point should be set every 30 meters along the bottom edge of the tank, and there should be no less than two grounding points per tank.
(11) Every spring, a comprehensive inspection of lightning protection and anti-static grounding devices should be carried out, and the tested grounding resistance value should meet the requirements.
(12) Two soft copper wires with a cross-sectional area of not less than 25mm2 should be used to connect the floating vessel of the floating roof tank to the tank wall.
(13) The amount of oil stored in the oil storage tank should be operated within a safe tank position.
(14) When the oil level of the condensate is higher than that of the heating coil, it should be heated with a steam riser first, and then heated with a steam coil after the condensate dissolves.
(15) Chemical fiber clothing and shoes with iron nails should not be worn. Non explosion-proof flashlights should not be turned on or off at the top of the tank.
(16) Hot work and tank cleaning operations on oil pipelines in the storage tank area should comply with industry regulations.
(17) If the oil storage tank catches fire, it should be reported immediately and all operations on the burning oil tank should be stopped. Organize firefighting and timely activate emergency plans.
