Surge Protected PDU Power Distribution Unit Horizontal Data Cabinet Power Strip
Surge protected PDUs have a dedicated surge protector built into the unit, which will help to protect the PDU and any connected equipment by either blocking the surge, or shorting it to ground.
Surge protection protects vital equipment from low-frequency, high-voltage spikes of electricity. By either blocking the spike, or shorting it to ground, the surge protector keeps any unwanted voltages above a safe threshold.
It also offers an effective solution for wide scale deployment in situations that prohibits the usage of full scale UPS systems. Featuring the latest in Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) technology, the SurgePro will block any input voltage surges up to around 4 times the nominal input voltage meaning your IT networking switches, servers, NAS devices and PBX devices will run for longer and thus reduce system downtime.
