The FM101-EAU-20 from Fibocom is an LTE-A Cat 6 Module that covers mobile networks in Europe, Asia, and Australia. It delivers a downlink data rate of 300 Mbps (LTE)/42 Mbps (WCDMA) and uplink data rate of 50 Mbps (LTE)/11 Mbps (WCDMA). This module is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X12+ LTE Modem and supports 3GPP Release 12 standard features. It also includes a multi-constellation GNSS receiver (GPS/ Galileo/ GLONASS/ BeiDou), which provides high-performance positioning and navigation. The module requires a DC supply of 3.8 V.
The FM101-EAU-20 can be controlled via USB 3.0/2.0, PCIe 2.0, UART, SPI, GPIO, I2S, UIM, and I2C interfaces. It is available in an M.2 package that measures 30.0 x 42.0 x 2.3 mm and is ideal for use in high data throughput IoT applications. The module can also be used in a variety of cellular terminals such as CPE, STB, IPC, ODU, and PDA, extending its applicability to a wide range of eMBB application scenarios such as Industrial IoT, Smart Cities, C-V2X, etc.
