The traditional means of earthwork survey mainly use GNSS receiver, total station and other equipment to collect the 3D coordinates of space points one by one, which is inefficient and can not completely and objectively reflect the continuous topographic changes in the survey area.
According to the principle of SLAM, the HiSLAM laser scanner can perform automatic point cloud registration, that is, search the same spatial features in the continuously transformed 3D spatial scene for matching. Compared with other types of scanners, HiSLAM laser scanner has the advantages of high measurement efficiency and flexible operation.
The intensity of field work can be greatly reduced by using HiSLAM laser scanner, with high automation of indoor data processing and short mapping time. The collected data is closer to the actual site, the 3D volume calculated according to the point cloud data is more accurate, and more detailed calculation can be carried out in the calculation of earthwork volume.
