The hot cathode ultraviolet lamp uses tungsten wire as the cathode body, and its surface is coated with low work function metal oxide. During the working life of the hot cathode ultraviolet lamp, the oxide has chemical and electrochemical "poisoning" problems, so the lamp life is generally only more than 4000 hours. The cathode ultraviolet lamp is made of pure metal sheet, and there is no poisoning problem.
